Matt gave a quick demo on making corrections by hand while at the Huntington Museum. He’s using a pot of “graphic white”—not our favorite brand, which is Deleter (#2), but it works—and a small sable brush, probably a no. 2. He’s demonstrating on a sample page that he used to demo layout, lettering, and inking the previous day.
He runs over several standard steps of correcting a page, including cleaning up smudges, tidying up panel borders, cleaning up lettering, as well as fine-tuning, like fixing chunky lines, “little nubs,” and spots where you’ve just changed your mind. He also touches on subtractive drawing and pasting down corrections on new paper.

Great, thanks a lot Jessica! Now I know where the Student Union is I feel a bit silly for having asked — but it’s definitely better with another link in the FAQ section anyway.
I’m on Chapter 5 now, by the way. The book is really great, very instructive with lots of interesting information on the side, and suggestions for other reading. I feel I’ve learned quite a lot already.
BTW, I noticed the odd misfiring or missing link — nothing that has slowed my progress or anything, but I can note them down and send you them if it helps.
