At my recent workshop at the Miami Wolfsonian Museum, I taught the students about live area, how to lay out a page, and how to hand-letter. I’m working on breaking down that demo into a series of short videos. These are the first few, on live area, original size, laying out a page, and laying out tiers. All of this material is drawn directly from Chapter 6 of DWWP: Getting on the Same Page.

Thanks for posting these. I like to see you guys teaching!
Though I am still debating analog and digital methods of creating I find that any help I can get from your demos and tutorials very worthwhile…

Thanks–I always say that, even if you want to draw digitally, drawing (and lettering, and laying out) by hand are crucial skills for the toolbox. You don’t want to be stuck with one way of doing things!
