How To Use

Comics readers

If you’re a comics reader, either in a class or independently, and you’ve ended up here, it’s a given that you’re more committed to the form than most. This is not a site for the casual reader. Which is not to say we’ve got nothing casual around here! Along with our serious posts on the art of comics, mostly directed at cartoonists and teachers of comics, we’ve got a lot of fun stuff, including book reviews and creator interviews.

As to the more typical post, you comics readers will get the opportunity to rethink aspects of your favorite art form from the point of view of creators; that is, from the inside out. Learn to think structurally about comics, to look at each artistic choice as a part what makes the story unique and endlessly interesting.
